If your company in South Africa has employees, you are liable to pay the following taxes to SARS.

• Pay-as-you-earn (PAYE) for employees
• Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)
• Skills Development Levy (SDL)

If you’re self-employed, a freelance worker in South Africa, trade as a sole proprietorship or a partnership, you will need to pay tax. However, you’ll be taxed as an individual and will have to submit a personal income tax return. Partnerships can be between two or more people; each partner will be taxed as an individual based on their share of the profits. This can become quite tricky because it requires a host of different documents to be submitted. We’ll compile your annual financial statements for the year for your company and then use this information to compile your company’s income tax return and submit it to SARS annually as required.
